Dr. Manekar is a knowledgeable and very well-liked physician, mother, and wife. She has lived in Atlanta for over 20 years. She completed her Family Medicine residency program at Emory in 2005 and completed her fellowship in weight management with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA). Dr. Manekar is a board-certified obesity medicine specialist.
Dr. Manekar enjoys gardening, watching movies, reading, and doing outdoor activities with her family. She is married, has 2 daughters and a dog.
Dr. Manekar is also a teaching physician. She enjoys training young doctors (students and residents), physician assistants, and nurse practitioner students during their medical careers.

She has been treating Overweight and Obesity, which are root causes of multiple chronic medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, arthritis, reflux, high cholesterol, joint pains, several cancers, metabolic syndrome, gynecological problems like PCOS, and many more with the latest evidence-based medicine.
Dr. Manekar has been very successful with her treatment strategies, and she is well-liked by all of her patients. She maintains competency in providing pre-; peri-; and post-surgical care for bariatric surgery patients, promotes the prevention of obesity, and advocates for those who suffer from obesity.
She sees patients of all ages. Her patients usually come from word of mouth from family and friends. She treats all age groups and sees all 3 generations of families.
